Looks like Vercel will now be stealing your code to train their AIslop unless you opt out by the end of the month. Very scummy to have this on by default, and a good reason to finally switch providers. I'll probably be migrating my projects somewhere else.
We've brought back our "zoomer" screenshot tool and loaded up a range of DLSS 5 on/off comparisons from a range of games. Check it out: www.digitalfoundry.net/features/nvi...
Looking at all the ATProto projects has made me wonder if it's possible to have an ATmosphere Minecraft server by storing chunk and player data on a PDS... I don't think I have enough free time to attempt something like that lmao
I've been going down the rabbit hole of finding cool apps and projects built on ATProto that I can use with my Bluesky account. Made another list to keep track of it all.
Three incredibly weird games about exploring unhinged dreamscapes. One online co-op, one screwball comedy, one unsettling procedural sandbox. All selling well with great user-reviews
I didn't realise I had @surf.social access. Kinda cool app, I really like being able to make a custom YouTube feed. Could use a web / desktop version though since I don't watch YouTube on my phone.
MFA security is important and all but I hate how incredibly tedious logging into stuff has become. Log in with external service > enter password for password manager > verify authenticator code on my phone > connect back to the main website > second code verification via email...
I want a new mouse mat with some nice art on it but I feel like most amazon listings are just AI slop. Gotta find some online store that sells nice ones, at least 900x400 in size with UK shipping.
Sometimes I wonder how Mastodon is doing these days. I like the concept of federated networks but I don't really check there much since it's even less active than Bluesky. I've set up an @ap.brid.gy bridge for some of my stuff though, I'll see how that goes.
Since I've been embedding my Bluesky stuff into a lot of things lately, I've also started documenting how to use the Bluesky API. It's very nice to work with, as it requires no keys or authentication for fetching public data so it's easy to integrate into projects.
Gonna add some replies to this post and use them as the root comment for some of my older pages, or for smaller pages that don't need a whole dedicated bluesky post for them.

I finally got around to adding a comments section to my notes site which uses Bluesky replies!
I saw similar projects around so I spent today making my own custom implementation so it works with Quartz.
